I am a volunteer search and rescue K9 handler, so I spend a lot of time with my dogs and my unit's dogs. I have several alpacas that I enjoy photographing. I have also done a lot of work with both domestic cats and wild feline species. Many of my cat pictures appeared in my book "Is My Cat a Tiger".

I have been photographing wolves in the Midwest for the past 6 years. Many of my images of wolves are in my book, "Is My Dog a Wolf", which won the Bergh Award for Non-Fiction Childrens' Book of the Year 2007.
